A friend of mine is heading to a baby shower for a woman having her first child. At the shower, the guests are sharing their advice. So my friend sent out an email asking her friends to pitch in. Here’s what I came up with:
Snuggle often. Breathe in that baby smell. Read in bed with your kids every night, except on date night (at least twice a month). Nothing is as bad as it seems, even when the teacher tells you he bit her. He will stop biting, eat normal food, stop wetting the bed, and read by third grade. Seems like a long time away now, but it flies by. And other women in your life are the best for keeping you laughing when times get tough. Because we all have our bad-mom days, but we know a great day is just around the corner.
